The Department of Mathematics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is soliciting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 15, 2011. Applicants whose research is compatible with the department's strengths in differential equations, differential geometry, dynamical systems, mathematical physics, and topology, including computational aspects of these areas, are encouraged to apply. Those with expertise in geometric or harmonic analysis, inverse problems, or probability are of particular interest in this search.
